So last week I finally said to myself, "Hey, I really want to learn how to crochet."
Because,
1. I want my next baby to have their own crochet baby blanket like Lydia's (I'm not expecting again, so no one freak out on me!)
2. It would be nice to have some cute hats to use for Lydia, photography props, and gifts!
3. I HAVE OODLES OF TIME :) I totally understand now why stay-at-home moms tend to get crafty. I have to do SOMETHING productive.
So I got on Youtube and watched videos and practiced stitches and things on my cheap yarn I already had. It came a lot easier than I thought it would and I'm really LOVING it.
So here is my very first finished project! I'm really happy with it and thought it turned out pretty cute :)
I obviously had to get some pictures with Lydie wearing it. She wasn't too thrilled with me taking pictures of her at first.
But then, after mom did a little entertainment, she came around :)
I like this picture because her little teeth poking out look like a bunny rabbit :)
The only downside to this hat was it's a TAD too small for Lydia. The pattern says it should fit a 1-3 year old. Either I made it too tight or Lydia's head is big (her head size is usually in the 75th percentile) I'm thinking about making another one a little bit bigger. If I decide to, I'll either give this to someone as a gift or sell it. If anyone is interested just comment on this post and we can talk about it!
