Wedding and Thanksgiving

Sorry I've been MIA for a little while. November was busy, busy, busy for the Briscoe's! The first part of the month we moved yet again (thanks family!). No pictures of the apartment yet, but I did snap a shot of the view outside on our balcony. Needless to say, we love it here so far.

In the middle of November Adam's little sister Daniele got married in Draper and had a reception in Provo so his whole family was here and we were able to attend her sealing. I didn't do so good with the wedding pictures. My first excuse was because I had a baby to deal with and second is there were hurricane-force winds at the temple that morning. So sad because that temple and the location was beautiful. The reception was at the old Provo City Library. I didn't know they had big ballrooms you could rent out so I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect when I heard it was at a library. Anywho, here are a few pictures I did get.

Sadly, this is one of the only photos I got of Daniele. I didn't get a picture of Daniele and Steve together. I meant to do better, but the day went by too fast!

Lydia and Daddy

Love her dress :)

Adam's crazy little brother Lucas

Adam's older sister's (Amber) little boys Hayden and Easton. They looked pretty snazzy.
Amber and Lane stayed with us a few nights with their 3 kids for the wedding. Carly is exactly a month younger than Lydia. They've only met one time before this. They'll be good friends someday :)

Can you tell Lydia likes to put her hands in people's mouths yet?
Then came Thanksgiving at the end of the month. We went up to my parents house in Idaho Falls this year. We had a little trouble on the way down. About 30 minutes on the freeway we drove past a semi and the passenger window (the side I was sitting on) SHATTERS. Who does that seriously happen to? So we had to make a little detour to Tremonton to get some duct tape and plastic to make it all the way there. Luckily, my dad met us in Blackfoot and the traffic was backed up because of the slick roads and it took us an hour and half to go about 30 miles. It took us a total of 5 1/2 hours to get there when it should only take 2 1/2. I was glad to get up there. Here are a few pictures I took from our stay.

Beautiful sunset Thanksgiving evening

Nat's 3 year old little girl Sophie. I told her I wanted to take a picture of her and this is the face she pulls.
Can you tell these two are related? Big blue eyes. Both of them have me wrapped around their fingers.

Well that's all for now! I have more pictures, but this was a long post so I'll do that soon :)

Happy Halloween!

It didn't really feel like Halloween this year..I didn't dress up and Lydia was too little to do anything with. We stayed indoors that night and handed candy out to the trick-or-treaters that came by. Sadly, there weren't very many because it was rainy and cold. I have way too much candy left! Lydia didn't have a costume, but my mom did get her a cute Halloween outfit.

it says 'Daddy's Under My Spell' (very true)
Kitty bum
She's just stinkin' cute
Lydia and I did go to a party Saturday afternoon. Daniele (Adam's little sister) had a Bachelorette party in Provo so we drove up for the afternoon since Adam had to work all day.
She's getting married in 3 weeks..we are very excited for her! Here are a few pictures from the party.

We played some fun games and one included her putting a lot of gum in her mouth, hence the gum in her hand.

Lydia also met a friend that was about a month older than her. Her name was Mckinley (I think)  She just kept starring at Lydia...they were pretty cute.

So that is how our Halloween was spent..I don't have any pictures of Adam so here is a cute one of him and Lydia hanging out

And then like usual here is a video of Lydia for the Grandmas...enjoy!

Two

Two years ago today Adam and I started our life together.

I can't imagine how life was without him.

Since we've been married a lot of things have happened. We have:

1. lived in 3 different cities
2. moved to 5 different apartments/homes
3. been in 6 different wards
4. had 8 total jobs combined

and last but not least

5. had a baby

Two years is only the beginning and I can't wait see what's next.

This year for our anniversary we went to Lagoon yesterday (since today is Sunday). My mom came up and watched Lydia for us (thanks mom!) I've never been away from her for more than 2 hours. It was only 5 hours, but man we missed her. We had a lot of fun though. We only live 20 minutes away so it wasn't a big deal to go. We went on all the rides we wanted to once. Adam made me go on the Rocket and I was TERRIFIED. He had more fun watching me scream...

Anyways I took one picture when we were standing in line for the first ride. By the end of the afternoon my hair was had gotten wet and blown all over the place, so no pictures after this one :)

Love you babe!!!

Traveling

We've been fairly busy this past week and spent quite a bit of time in the car (not so good for Lydia) It was nice to get away instead of stayin home all the time though. First, last Friday Adam's Uncle Dan got remarried to my math teacher up at BYU-Idaho. Small world yes? Her name is Jennie. They had the wedding in the Joseph Smith Building..very pretty! Here's a group shot of some of us.

A little side note: Daniele and her boyfriend Steve just got engaged the other night so she has a pretty ring on her finger now :) Congrats!

The next day on Saturday we headed up to Emmett for Carly and Wyatt's baby blessings. Carly was born exactly a month after Lydia and Wyatt was 2 days after that. They should all be good friends one of these days :) We stayed up there for about 4 days. I brought my camera and had good intentions of taking pictures, but that didn't happen sadly...the only picture I have are the next 2. Amber had tagged me in this photo on facebook so that is the only reason I have it.

My sister-in-law Katrina and baby Wyatt
This picture was the only one I took myself. New jammies!! :) She is very long. These are 3 month and she reaches the very end of them. My baby is getting big :(

We made it home in one piece and Lydia did surprisingly well in the car. She likes having company in the backseat with her so that's where me or Adam would sit if we weren't driving.
This last picture I just had to throw in there because it was cute. She just got out of the tub and was wrapped in her kitty towel. She will probably love cats/animals as much as any other little kid does (sorry Abby)

Happy Anniversary!

Today is Adam and I's FIRST wedding anniversary! We both can't believe it has already been an entire year. Then again it feels like we've been together forever already. I can't imagine my life without him. Over the past year we've learned and grown together especially being so far away from our families over the summer.

We're both goof balls and understand each other's weirdness. He's my other half and I don't know where I'd be without him! I love you babe!

Four Months Too Late....

This is officially the first post of our new blog! Nothing very interesting is going on at the moment, but since I didn't have a blog when we got married, I've decided to post a few of the many pictures we had taken that day. We got married September 26, 2008 and we are so happy together!

This is one of my favorites :)

We had our pictures taken around the temple at about 8:00 am. I was supposed to have my bouquet then, but of course with my luck they didn't have it done in time. They tried to give me a crappy fake bouquet that had been sitting on their counter. I wanted to throw it in the street and run it over, but instead I didn't use it in my pictures and we nicely gave it back to them. Let's just say, I wasn't a happy camper, but I tried my best to have a good attitude so our pictures turned out well.

This is our classic Zoolander expression :)

Coming out of the Temple after we were married!

Everyone that was in the Temple or waiting outside.

I finally got my bouquet a few hours before the reception started. At least they turned out pretty :)

We went back to the Temple to get some pictures taken with my bouquet before the reception started.

The lighting is so pretty in this picture. I love it.

My side of the family.

Adam's side of the family.

My cake turned out exactly the way I pictured it. It tasted way good too :)

And away we went in our Hummer limo!

Looking back to how I felt about the flower situation seemed silly after the day ended. I can't imagine a more perfect day than to have kneeled across the alter and being sealed to my sweetheart for all eternity. The day was perfect :)
