You Are My Sunshine

I'm on a roll this week! Things just keep coming up. This time we caught Lydia singing You Are My Sunshine on video :)

I forgot i got this one on video a few days ago. She is getting better at using her spoon to feed herself cereal and other things. I just think it's so funny how big she has to open her mouth up everytime :)

Brace Yourself

The content of this blog post is EXTREMELY cute. I finally took a video of her doing animal sounds and some other things. BUT before I show that...here's what she has been up to.

Getting into the candy dish...

On top of the kitchen table.

We've got a climber on our hands. She is constantly climbing onto the chairs and moving them so she can get onto the table. I'm just thankful she hasn't hurt her self!

She's so smart and understands nearly everything we tell her these days. She goes to nursery in 2 weeks. She is going to love it! We are very exciting for us her.

Well here are the videos I'm sure most of you were wanting to see. I took 2 because I forgot to ask her a few things the first time

We are going to Emmett for Thanksgiving this year so hopefully Adam will find out when we he can get off work! We love spending time with both of our families and Adam is definitely in need of a little vacation from everything!

Awesomeness

My awesome husband let me get my new awesome lense for my camera :). He's AMAZING guys. It came in the mail this morning and I've been messing around with it a little bit today....hence the new blog post. They're all obviously of Lydia, but that should be expected. I really should name this blog "Lydia's Blog".

I LOVE this picture. The eyes, the dipple, the look....
She's been learning animals noises lately so here are some photographs of the funny faces she makes. I'll get them on video one of these days.
(OH and it's lunch time so that's why there's food all  over her face...)

First is the monkey.

Translation: "ah ah, ee ee, ah ah"
Next is the kitty.

"mouw"

She can also do a sheep, horse, and pig. It's ridiculously cute. I promise I'll get a video on here soon.

Finally I just needed to show off her pretty pink shoes.

I would probably wear them if they were my size...
 AND her.
She's so expressive.

The left photo she was pointing to something and saying "this".  She says that about everything she sees or wants.
Man alive I've been a blogging machine lately. I've got too much time on my hands.
Anyone need some pictures taken?
I've got a new lense that needs some practicing with :)

ONE last thing.....

I took this video of Lydia tonight.
I love listening to her jabber and now you get to see what I listen to all day.

Lydie's Latest

Okay I said I wouldn't post again until after the weekend, but we took a video on Sunday of her latest trick!

Another thing I need to get on video is her latest word. She's been saying forms of "mom: and "dad' for quite awhile, but she just started to say "cheese" it comes out sounding more like "sheesh", but it is SOOOO cute. She is also learning where some things are on her body (like her belly button).  She is one smart cookie and it surprises me everyday on how fast she learns things.

ANYways, later Sunday night she started acting sick because she caught the cold I got. (Adam now has it too *sigh* sorry family) Luckily, it's been pretty short lived and she is already a lot better than she was! I told her she had to get better quick so we could go up to Idaho!

Check Up

Lydia had her one year checkup yesterday. She would not even let the doctor touch her without crying. I had to lay her on the table and she was clinging on to me for dear life. She had to get two shots and get some blood taken. They only had to prick her finger to test her iron, but it took FOREVER to get enough blood and I had to hold her still and she was screaming and crying the whole time. I am sure everyone in the doctor's office could hear her. Very traumatic visit.
Well here is how she's measuring up nowadays:

Height: 29.5 in. (65%)
Weight: 18 lbs 1 oz (10%)

It's always hard to see her so sad, but it doesn't take her long to get back to her goofy self.
Here's a video that just makes me laugh.

Since she liked her jammies on her head I thought maybe she would keep a hat on....

What's Been Going On Around Here?!

She is getting so good at walking! The video in my last post is short so I got some better ones. There are 3 different ones that I couldn't decide from because they were all cute for different reasons.

In this last one she kept getting distracted by her jammies because they have grippers on the bottom and this was the first time she wore them.

Isn't she so cute? She looks too little to be walking!

Anywho, I realized I haven't said much about Adam on here lately or me for that matter. Lydia is just more cute and interesting :) For the most part everything is still the same. Adam is still going to school and working ALL the time, bless his heart. Luckily, this week is finals week so after he's done with all his tests he doesn't go back to school until sometime in June for his 7 week class he has to take. I thought his schedule was bad now, but during his summer class he will be at school tuesday-thursday from 9:30-3:30 and then work ALL day Monday, Friday, and Saturday. We really won't be seeing a whole lot of him. At least it's only 7 weeks! After he is done with that class we are hopefully going to be able to drive up to Reno to see my sister in August! It will be a much needed vacation. It's always nice to get out of Utah...people here drive me crazy most of the time.

On another note, we had to talk in church yesterday. It was the first time I have ever given a talk longer than a 2 minute youth talk. How I got away with that for so long is beyond me! I guess it was about time. I kind of freaked out about it, but it went really well and we're both glad it's over with!

Well that is really all that has been going on around here lately. Hopefully our summer will be a little more exciting!

(oh and I can't figure out how to make my videos larger when you upload them from YouTube...if anyone knows I'd appreciate some help!)

It's All Over...Almost

As both my siblings have told me...it's all over when their kids started to walk. (as in they get into anything and everything).

Well the day is ALMOST here. The past week she has gotten so good at walking. It's so cute. I got a short video clip. My camera died so that's why it's short and all the sudden ends. Don't worry though, nothing else happened and she fell on her bum. I'll get a better one soon, but I haven't had a video in awhile so enjoy!

Hope everyone has a good weekend! Happy birthday to my Grandma Henderson on Sunday!

Yet Another...

Yes it's another video...but it's a good one. She is at the age where she keeps learning how to do new and cute things everyday. This is one of them.

Also on a side note, Lydia is getting her first tooth! In fact, we noticed yesterday she is getting two. They're both on the bottom. When they come in I'll do my best to get pictures up quick!

Standing Up

She's been standing up by herself for a few weeks now, but I FINALLY took a video of it so here you go :)

(I apologize for the shiftiness towards the end...it's a little hard to control the camera when she's climbing on me)

Coming into 2011 with a bang!

Happy New Year everyone! We were real party animals this year....not. My parents came up to hang out with us for new years this year. Adam had to work most the time like usual so I was happy they came. We didn't even stay up 'till midnight. We were in bed asleep by about 11:30 :) That's what happens when you have a baby that wakes up numerous times a night. Speaking of which, she slept 10 straight hours last night. We were SHOCKED. Hopefully this isn't one time thing...and hopefully I didn't just jinx it. I'll let you know how she does.
To ring in the new year I thought I'd show you some videos/pictures of what Miss Lydia Fay has been up to. She's not only a pro-crawler, but now she can pull herself up to everything. I haven't gotten a video of that one yet..sorry. I will I promise.
She had NO help from mom or dad...

She also got into a blue candy cane...oops.
Her cheeks were dry that day..that's why they're so rosy

The next new thing is we gave her cheerios yesterday for the first time. She's decided she doesn't want me to spoon feed her anymore? yea she's way too little to have decided that already. She's only 7 1/2 months old. Hopefully it's just a phase, but until then I'm starting to try finger foods with her.

This one is just cute...I'm glad someone thinks I'm funny :)

2010 was good to us...hopefully 2011 will be just as good or even better!

Crawler

That's right...my baby can crawl. I thought I would have another month or two, but she was really determined and figured it out. Luckily, she's not too fast. She's very close to sitting up by herself, but she's more interested in learning to get places on her own. I don't blame her.

This first video was taken about a month ago when she was starting to get the idea.

This video was also about a month ago and is also an attempt, but it's short and kinda funny

Finally she has figured it out and I took this one of her today

I have to keep a close eye on her now because she already goes for things she's not supposed to have. Time to baby proof!

Rolling Over

So I said in my last post earlier today that she was very close to rolling over without getting stuck...well she figured it out this afternoon. She's done it several times and I finally got it on camera. She knows how to go from her tummy to her back, but hasn't combined the two yet.

That'll probably happen tomorrow.

Enjoy :)

Tummy Time

Her head is getting really strong and she holds it up really well, especially if I'm holding her. I decided to try it on my nursing pillow thingy (can't remember the name) well she wasn't a huge fan and it didn't last long, but here are 2 short videos of her trying.
