Sunday Best

After New Year's we had a "second" Christmas because my sister, Nat, and her family came into town from Reno!

We took advantage of everyone in the Sunday best and got some photos :)

Christmas Day 2014

Can't believe another Christmas has come and gone! This one was definitely more slow paced and quiet than others have been. This year it as just Adam and I and the girls that came up to my parents house. A few days before we left Lydia got really sick and I didn't even know if we were going to be able to make it up to Idaho Falls. It really broke my heart to think she wouldn't be able to enjoy Christmas.

Thankfully, the day we were supposed to leave she woke up looking better than she had the few days before so we got to drive up to grandma's house for Christmas. Claire ended up coming down with something while we were there so between the two of them we dealt with fevers, colds, throwing up, or teething the whole time we were up there. I felt bad for the girls, but they love being at grandma's house so they did still have a good time regardless.

As usual I tried to take some photos!

One other photo tradition that I want to keep doing every year is to get a picture of both of them on Christmas morning in front of the tree with their jammies on! Since the girls were sick (Claire really wasn't feeling well) I did the best I could.

Here was my photo from last year... I can't believe how big they've both gotten. *tear*

And here is what I tried to get this year... Poor girls just didn't feel good!

The rest of the day was just spent playing with toys, watching movies, and just trying to help these two feel better. Hearing dad play the piano seemed to help lift Claire's mood!

That's all for this year! I don't even want to think about how big they are going to be at Christmas time this year... my girls are growing up WAY too fast!

4th of July

This year for the 4th we went up to Idaho Falls! Usually we go up the weekend before for the fireworks in Driggs, but because of scheduling and timing it didn't work out (we had the stomach flu anyways!) My grandma's sister was up visiting from Mississippi so that is another reason we decided to go!

We didn't go down to the river to watch the fireworks because it would have been too late for Claire. She usually goes to bed at 7:30! We sat outside my parents front porch and watched the little tiny fireworks that were going off down by the river. Not the best show, but it was a nice evening to sit out :)

The next day we went to Bear world and then up to Jackson Hole! Claire did so well being in the car most of the day. Poor Lydia had a cold so she didn't feel too great, but she was a trooper!

I didn't take many pictures, but I had the girls dressed up for the 4th so I had to at least get a few shots of the two of them!

This girl (7 months old ) has quite the personality these days. She can go from a straight face to yelling or laughing within blink of an eye!

Now for just a second I want to rewind to JUNE when she turned 6 months old. She FINALLY started rolling over again. She did it once or twice quite a while ago, but then never did it again. Lydia was crawling by 5 1/2 months so we just aren't used to having a baby that is at a normal pace!

And as you can see she started getting teeth inbetween 6-7 months! Her first 2 came in at about the same time on the bottom. Those babies are sharp!

Claire also had her 6 month checkup around this time so here are her stats so I can remember :)

Weight: 14 lbs 14 oz (19%)
Height: 26.5 in. (62%)

Easter 2014

Took me a lot longer than I'd hoped to get this posted, but here it is! We spent the weekend in Idaho Falls at my parents house so here are some fun pics while we were there!

We got a piƱata last year and so we did that again this year! Lydia needs a little help with her batting swing...

We had church at 9 so I made everyone stay in their clothes for pictures afterwards. (I know...pictures are torture!)

First real family photo of us as a family of 4 :) and proof that I do get in front of the camera every once in a while!

You can tell they were about done with pictures!

AND a few outtakes... Real life people!

 Nice boogers, Dev...

And last the kids opened their Easter baskets (that's another reason they wanted to be done with pictures) and we dyed some eggs!

She was VERY done with photos at this point if you can't tell....
