Lydia Turns 3!

This post is solely dedicated to my Lydie B turning 3 on May 27! (yes, I know... MAY). We didn't do a big party for her this year. I had thought about it, but I was in my first trimester and inviting a bunch of 2 or 3 year olds to my house seemed like a HUGE load so alas, we just had a few family members come over one evening for some presents and cake. I asked her what kind of cake she wanted to and she immediately told me she wanted a cookie cake! Thankfully, my sister Nat had made one a few years ago and so I already had the perfect one!

She is obsessed with birthdays and loves going to parties and singing even when she knows it's not for her. One of her favorite things nowadays is to play with her toy birthday cake and sing happy birthday to everyone and tells you to 'make a wish' to blow out the candle on top. 

Here are a few other little things about her:

-Her favorite color is pink

-She loves Hello Kitty and could be a walking model from all the clothing she has. (She also got a Hello Kitty bedspread from mom and dad for her birthday)

-Her favorite movie is Cinderella and she always sings high pitch with the mice and thinks they are the cutest things ever. 

-She is very excited to be a big sister! She used to argue with us about having a baby sister when we weren't sure what we were having yet. Good things it's another girl :) 

-She enjoys playing with her friends and thinks everyone around her age is a friend even though she has no idea who they are. 

-She just loves loves loves to sing and is content playing in her room listening to her princess and primary songs. 

-She loves being around our extended family and asks daily if we are going to see them. 

-She has already requested that she has a princess birthday cake like Paige's (Randi's little girl) next year

I haven't taken her 3 year photos yet *head slap*, but I have her outfit all picked out and I'm just WAITING for the trees to turn at one of my favorite locations from fall last year so hopefully by the end of October I will get those done :)
