Well since July is apparently almost over I guess I should fill you in on what we've been up to! Instead of doing one big post (too overwhelming) I am just doing it by events :)
SOO for the 4th of July (well the weekend before, technically) Lydia and I went up to Idaho to go stay in Driggs with my family. Adam had to stay home because he was taking most of the next week off so we could go see his family. I had 4.. yes 4 sessions while I was up there. I basically had one every evening I was there! I was definitely burnin' the road from Idaho Falls to Driggs. So thankful to have handy baby sitters while I am up there :) Lydia and my mom would attach at the hips if they could!
The reason we were in Driggs is for the Huntsman Springs 4th of July Celebration. We went last year and had a lot of fun so we decided to go again!
During the day on Saturday they have a bunch of things to go do so Devin and I went and checked everything out while my parents had to go back IF for a few hours.
Whenever it is just Devin and I with our kids everyone thinks we are married...and it doesn't help that Lydia and Carter look like they could be siblings! We just try to keep our distance :)
One of the fun things to do was look at a bunch of old cars that people brought to show off.
They also had a bunch of bouncy houses and blow up slides for the kids to play on. Lydia is still a little too small to tackle them by herself so Devin took her up to one of the slides. She really did have fun..I promise.
This was taken in the parking lot of my parent's condo. They also do hot air balloon rides on one of the days up there. It's pretty cool to see how massive they are!
After it started getting hot we decided to get a snow cone and sit in the shade for a bit to cool off. They had to show off their tongues! (Lydia's was actually from her sucker)
These two love to play together.
Walking backwards down a small hill?
After we were down there awhile Lydia was getting a little attitude...
This face means I told her something and she doesn't want to do it.
That's all the pictures I took while I was there. I had intentions of taking pictures of the fireworks, but Lydia completely freaked out during them so I was back in the condo trying to calm her down the whole time. She as terrified for the next week to go to bed. On the actually 4th of July the fireworks go off pretty close to where we live here in Ogden so we just let her stay up and watch a movie. She is finally back to normal with her sleep habits thankfully!
If you have't had a chance to go to Driggs for the 4th, go next year! It's definitely worth it :)
